Climate Smart Agriculture
- Training and demonstration of climate smart agricultural policies and practices among marginalized small holding farming communities in Dolakha, Sindhuli, Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Dhading, Rautahat and Ramechhap.
- Participatory cereal crop production and seed production of major food crops (rice, wheat, maize, soyabean and finger millet).
- Integration of Legumes on Rice and Maize based cropping systems in hills of Nepal- Tanahu, Lamjung and Gorkha.
- Conservation and value addition of native finger millet cultivars for the protection of plant genetic resources and livelihood improvement of farming communities.
- Seasonal and off- seasonal production programs in hills- Tanahu, Lamjung, Gorkha and Makwanpur districts.
- Agriculture entrepreneurships development through farmer’s capacity building, establishment of micro-mills and marketing.
- Carry our farmer’s field visits and conduct RRA to get updated information and status of under-utilized food crops in hills and mountain region of Nepal- buckwheat, barley, amaranth, etc.
- Verification trials and demonstration of newly introduced technologies in farmer’s field and wide-scale promotion and implementation of preferred technologies.
